Maria (Ronan) is a well-meaning primary school teacher struggling with one relentlessly disruptive student, Danny. With her classroom spiralling out of control and little support around her, an increasingly desperate Maria makes a series of questionable choices that somehow end with Danny locked inside her home…
Horrified by what she has done, Maria plans to put things right. But there is one problem: without Danny, her classroom begins to flourish. The students are happier, the parents are thrilled and suddenly everyone thinks Maria is doing an exceptional job.
Also starring Jacob Anderson, Rakie Ayola and Robert Emms, Bad Apples grows uncomfortable and increasingly twisted, turning one impossible predicament into a sharp examination of how easily doing the wrong thing can start to feel right.
